General Summary

Manage the design and development of the lighting systems for Edge of The World assets in close collaboration with third party design vendors by managing all aspects of lighting to ensure the delivery of lighting systems in alignment with the specifications set by Qiddiya.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Assist in overseeing lighting systems activities for Edge of The World including but not limited to architectural concept designs, plans, final designs and details to ensure compliance with approved themes, specifications and budget.
  2. Assist in oversight activities on the production of sketches, digital models and rendered views throughout the design process in cooperation with hired lighting companies to ensure compliance with approved themes, specifications and budget.
  3. Prepare formal responses to hired companies’ clarification inquiries regarding lighting systems including but not limited to materials selection and specifications in order to confirm compliance with tender specifications and project requirements.
  4. Participate in resolving site installation and logistics issues to support on time project delivery.
  5. Participate in managing the relationship with hired third party design companies and key stakeholders to ensure smooth cooperation.
  6. Participate in periodic meetings with Government representatives to facilitate design programs in terms of legal matters and compliance of design with local regulations.
  7. Provide the Planning & Design team with regular updates on designs and drawings modifications to ensure compliance with BIM guidelines and GIS data.
  8. Assist in budget development, cost estimations and forecasts in order to ensure design upgrades/modifications are continuously reflected.


Job Specification



  • Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering or related field
  • Master’s Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering or related field preferred
